Find out by joining Caffeine Society for an evening of haiku improvised by you – and all who turn out. Make yours funny or sad, fiction or truth, it’s all very good. Do check out the book, Cafe Haiku, at http://CafeHaiku.com
Jeffrey Goldsmith, publisher at San Francisco-based Caffeine Society, will introduce the event, read a haiku from his book, Cafe Haiku, and then all comers – including a number of Special Guests – are welcome.
But what is a Cafe Haiku Slam?
A gathering of people, many of whom will dash at a leisurely pace onto a little stage to improvise or read a haiku or two in under a minute. Venues include Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, New York, LA, San Diego, Chicago, Madison, Iowa City, and Tokyo. To learn more, please visit http://CaffeineSociety.com/CafeHaikuSlam.html
About Caffeine Society
We are an intentionally small, nationally distributed publisher, based in San Francisco. To learn more about current and future books, please visit http://CaffeineSociety.com
A Fall ‘05 appearance on San Francisco’s KRON-TV Morning Show brought Caffeine Society to the attention of SCB Distributors. Within weeks, the one-book publisher was signed solely on a series of book ideas, a classic back-of-the-napkin deal.
In signing to produce the ideas, however, Caffeine Society also signed up to promote its books – and the power of small publishing – across the nation. After a handful of radio interviews and local events, we’re now lined up a series of Café Haiku Slams and media appearances all over tarnation –precisely why this press release has come to you.
