Jeffrey Goldsmith, publisher at San Francisco-based Caffeine Society, will introduce the event, read a haiku from his book, Cafe Haiku, and then all comers – including a number of Special Guests – are welcome.

A gathering of people, many of whom will dash at a leisurely pace onto a little stage to improvise or read a haiku or two in under a minute. A Fall ‘05 appearance on San Francisco’s KRON-TV Morning Show brought Caffeine Society to the attention of SCB Distributors. Within weeks, the one-book publisher was signed solely on a series of book ideas, a classic back-of-the-napkin deal.
