Fujiko Fujio isn’t anybody. It’s a made up name for the inventor of the inventive character Doreamon.
So, who was Fujiko Fujio? A pair of boys who met in elementary school, formed a partnership at 17, then went to see Astro Boy creator Osamu Tezuka together, and then worked as a team until 1987.
And why is Doreamon more famous than they are? He fulfills fantasies we all had as kids. Here’s the synopsis. Nobita has bad grades and gets bullied. His life sucks. But then, one of his descendants sends back a robotic cat back through time from the future to help him. That cat was Doraemon. Just like 007, he has gadgets, which he takes from his pocket, toys, medicine, all kinds of tech from the future, like personal helicopter worn on the head and an “Anywhere Door” that let’s you instantly go anywhere.
And his pocket of gadgets is bottomless.
So, can you draw?
